Uberman: A Superhero Musical is a project that has been in the works for about a year. This site was created to post mp3 tracks of the songs, which were all composed in Guitar Pro 6 and then played back using RSE (realistic sound engine…not the quality of real instruments but a step above MIDI for sure!)
Uberman tells the story of Eddie Nicholas, a young man with extraordinary powers who must bear both their blessing and burden. After a life-changing incident involving the death of the only person in his life who truly accepted him, he rises from his despair and takes on the identity of Uberman, swearing to end injustice once and for all. He must face the evil genius of Dr. Laserbrain, who is no…t really as evil as he fancies himself to be, as well as the infamous serial killer Jacob Wallace, who embodies a much darker and twisted side of evil. Eddie learns to embrace his powers as well as the people around him, finding reason to continue his fight for good.
Uberman: A Superhero Musical is very much a comedy, but at the same time has many intense , dramatic, and dark elements. It parodies superhero stories as well as various musicals while giving great depth to its story and characters.
Uberman will see its debut at the end of March 2012 with the College Avenue Players. Stay posted for information regarding upcoming auditions.
